Individual Therapy
I am a holistic practitioner and am continually
using the mind-body relationship to help people improve their
lives. Much of my work is helping people make sense
of their concerns and understand themselves better as well
as those around them. The first
step is teaching people how change actually occurs and what
they can do to bring it about. The second step is using my
experience, skill, and guidance in assisting them through
the change process.
Couples Therapy
Couples
must learn to see themselves as a team, utilizing a “Win-Win” rather
than a “Win-Lose” approach.
With this in mind, I help the partners work together by
focusing on true listening and understanding of their mate
and also on the kind of communication that allows their
mates to understand them better as well. In couples sessions
partners learn to work together, increase effective rather
than destructive communication, get to the bottom of their
troubles, and work things out.
Group Psychotherapy
Group therapy helps people change their lives by
gaining awareness and an understanding of themselves through
group interactions, of seeing themselves through the eyes
of others. Group offers a safe place for members to reveal
themselves more fully and to experiment with different
ways of being. Decreases in stress as well as increases
in self-esteem, self-confidence, and life purpose are common
benefits of group therapy.
